Groupe Robert (Mississauga Terminal) is currently looking for Occupational Health and Safety Advisor in the Health and Safety Department.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Conducts site and facility visits to identify and eliminate hazards;
  • Participates in developing risk analyses for all workstations;
  • Trains managers and staff on safe work practices to reduce workplace accidents;
  • Supports sites and participates in hazard and risk assessment efforts through inspections, audits and other prevention activities;
  • Coordinates overall implementation of OH&S programs;
  • Develops, optimizes, implements and supervises preventive activities;
  • Participates in accident analysis and investigation;
  • Ensures implementation of corrective actions resulting from incident reports and various inspections;
  • Participates in the implementation and follow-up of the company’s emergency measure plan;
  • Participates in various committees, including joint OH&S committees, ensures required planning, reporting and follow-up;
  • Participates in developing and coordinating activities arising from the company’s OH&S committee action plan;
  • Provides various OH&S training to improve the employees’ work methods and practices
  • The OH&S Advisor is accountable to his/her immediate supervisor to deliver set objectives and meet deadlines for the responsibilities listed in the job description. 
  • These responsibilities will be validated and measured throughout the year through ad hoc meetings with his/her supervisor, through KPI and during the annual performance review.
  • The OH&S Advisor must promote and coordinate various activities related to prevention in the workplace.

  • College or university degree in OH&S or a related field;
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations (provincial and federal);
  • Knowledge of WSIB/WCB processes
  • Office suite proficiency;
  • Functional bilingualism, both oral and written (asset);
  • 2 to 5 years experience in the field of OH&S.
